Behind me, they fall matching my own pace.
The clanks of the heels vibrating in the earth to stab my eardrums.
My skin turns to gooseflesh,
My breath quickens,
My heart aches,
The clanking stops.
I can feel it behind me.
I know that if I dare look,
The black stilettos will stare through me.
My legs can't take any more,
My chest bangs for relief,
I beg for a rest.
Clank.
My heart jumps,
Clank.
My knees buckle,
Clank.
I fall,
Clank.

To my dearest sister
You were the first precious thing to me.
The first thing I was proud of.
I left because of our mother,
I did not want to leave.
You were like my dove,
I know I am just your brother,
But I loved you.
I raised you,
In place of your real dad,
Not because I had to.
I know you are mad.
And you should too.
But I loved you.
I left for you.
I left for mom.
I left for dad.
I left.
But I love you.
People are all around you,
watching your every move.
Surrounding you,
stifling your grove.
It is getting hard to breathe,
hard to talk.
Your skin begins to seethe,
it is harder to walk.
The room is getting hot,
you begin sweat.
Your visions is getting clot,
your friends around you, yet
The room is spinning
you can't breathe
the darkness is pinning
why can't I get free?
Behind me, they fall matching my own pace.
